»Do not bend« shows a cross-section of the artist's drawings and pigment prints created between 1990 and 2013.

They play a laconic game with our conventional perception of space and objects.

Kaestner works with various methods and artistic means in order to remove the temptation to classify what has been seen as sculpture or architecture. In so doing, he makes it impossible for the observer to identify things, structures, numbers or language systems, thus challenging his perception. Arnd Kaestner (* 1961 in Hamburg) lives and works in Berlin.
