Both the hand-drawn proofing marks and the ink drawings begin with considerations of how Images and texts are read, how meaning is produced, and how this all sits within the movement between analogue and digital activity.

The source material come from the Mass Observation archive Day Surveys of 1937-1939. This British movement aimed to create, in their own words, 'an anthropology of ourselves' by recording everyday life in Britain through untrained volunteer observers.
