The Office of Culture and Design is an autonomous platform for artists, writers, designers and social practice projects in the developing world (primarily, the Philippines).
In 2013, The OCD opened a design studio and publishing arm called Hardworking Goodlooking, through which they publish the results of their experiments (and those of others) in print and other formats.
Contemporary art and design are used as tools for progress, not luxuries. They are useful necessities, powerful tools for effecting the paradigm shifts that lead to real change.
By using contemporary art and design as a vehicle the OCD builds awareness for developing world issues and proposes solutions for them. In the process, they seek responsible income-generating livelihood projects for individuals and communities in need of assistance.
The catalogue gives information on the different projects and publications of the OCD.
