Ground threads together images of planting and harvesting, burying and unearthing, of fresh life and recent death.

The book is part of a larger project focused on the people and landscape of rural southwestern Iowa, a region settled primarily by German immigrants in the 1870's.

Ground is printed on archival paper with pigmented inks.
