This alternative guide to the city of Nicosia, Cyprus, was produced to accompany Manifesta 6. Following the biennial’s abrupt cancellation in 2006, This Week has now become one of the few historical records of a great event that never happened.

The book features contributions by 3 of the biennial’s curators (Mai Abu ElDahab, Anton Vidokle and Florian Waldvogel), a number of documents pertaining to the city’s history, articles discussing the details of the biennial’s cancellation, and a variety of analytical essays, photographs, and ephemera that relate to the city. Contibutors include Pippin Barr, Jan Verwoert, Paul Elliman, Yiannis Papadaki, Louise Tu’u, Louise Dossing, Darcy Jeffs, Toshimasa Kimura, Jeff Ramsey, Susanne Stetzer, Layla Tweedie-Cullen, and Karen Willey.
