As an artist, Markus Bacher works with rare intensity and exclusively as a painter. Iti is through painting, and only through painting, that he communicates his artistic vision.

One thing the viewer should always bear in mind: in Bacher, everything is painting. There is nothing that is outside the medium. The experience of these paintings, especially the large ones through which the viewer walks, even immerses himself, but also of the small ones, which Bacher likes to present in closely hung series, can only be paraphrased: no verbal description can exhaust it.
